It captures 4K at up to 60p relying on three 1/2″ Exmor R sensors that provide improved low-light capability when compared to standard sensors. The camera supports modern codecs such as XAVC, as well as legacy codecs such as MPEG HD and DVCAM, allowing you to use one camera to shoot 4K, HD, or SD video. How to transcode Sony PXW-Z280 MXF for editing in FCP X?
Step 1: Load Sony PXW-Z280 files into the program.
Run MXF to FCP X Converter on Mac computer. On the main interface, click “Add File” or “Add folder” icon to load your 4K recordings into the 4K Video Converter.
Step 2: Choose FCP X optimized file format.
Click “Format” drop-down bar to select a proper video format. To edit Sony PXW-Z280 MXF videos in FCP X, then Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) or “Apple ProRes 4444 (*.mov)” is the suitable one.
Step 3: Edit Sony PXW-Z280 files.
